KazaVPN for Linux

Connect from a window or a terminal, and your provider sees an encrypted connection instead of the sites your computer opens.

What it does on your computer

A window, or a terminal

Connect, pause and choose a place in the app, or run kaza connect and kaza status. It is one connection either way.

Settings that stick

Turn on the kill switch and tracker blocking once, in the app or with kaza settings, and every connection after that keeps them.

Pick where you appear

With KazaVPN Premium, choose a country and a city under Places, or name them when you connect from a terminal.

Install it from a terminal

  1. Take both packages

The button gives you the desktop app. Take the command line package it needs from the list under it, where the ARM and Fedora files are too. If uname -m prints x86_64, take amd64; if it prints aarch64, take arm64.

  2. Install them together

In your Downloads folder, run sudo apt install ./kaza_*.deb ./kazavpn_*.deb on Debian or Ubuntu, or sudo dnf install ./kaza-*.rpm ./kazavpn-*.rpm on Fedora. Your system asks for your password.

  3. Log in and connect

Open KazaVPN from your apps, sign in and choose Connect. In a terminal, kaza login and sudo kaza connect do the same.

Questions about KazaVPN on Linux

Do I have to use the terminal?

Only to install it. After that, KazaVPN opens from your apps like any other, and the command line stays there for a computer with no screen.

Which distributions does it run on?

Debian, Ubuntu and the systems built on them, such as Linux Mint, and Fedora, on a PC or on a 64-bit ARM computer.

How can I be sure the package is really yours?

Compare its fingerprint with the one on the download page, and check our signature on the release. The guide to checking a download shows both commands.

How do I update or remove it?

Download the new packages and install them the same way; they replace the old ones. To remove KazaVPN, run sudo apt remove kazavpn kaza, or sudo dnf remove kazavpn kaza on Fedora.
