Copyright and abuse reports

The short version

We carry internet traffic; we do not store it. A copyright or abuse report cannot ask us to take a file down or identify who used a server address at a time in the past, because neither exists on our side. What we can do is retire the address a report names, or act on a pattern of them.

Where to send a report

Send a report to abuse@kazavpn.com.

What a usable report contains

Say what happened, when, and the server address involved; for a copyright claim, name the work and say what gives you the right to act for it. A vague or incomplete report gets no faster an answer than the specific one that follows it.

What we can actually do

We carry traffic through our servers; we do not store it. There is no file on our side to remove, and no way to tell which of an address's connections, if any, matches a report about a moment in the past, because that link is never kept. The no-logs page lists everything we hold and everything we do not.

What we do instead

A server address that draws a serious report, or a pattern of them, may be retired, whether or not any single report on its own would call for it. We watch for the pattern rather than judging one report alone.

Repeat abuse

An account behind serious or repeated reports may be suspended, under the acceptable use section of our terms of service.

Our position

We are a mere conduit for the traffic that passes through our servers: we do not choose, change or store what is carried. We act only in the ways this page describes.
