KazaVPN for smart TVs

Samsung and LG TVs take no VPN app, so your router carries KazaVPN to them instead.

What it does for your TV

Nothing to install on the TV

The TV joins your router as it always has. KazaVPN runs on the router, so the TV's own app store never has to offer it.

Shows from the country you pick

Give the router a country on KazaVPN Premium, and the streaming apps on the TV see an address in that country.

The rest of the home too

The games console, the streaming stick and a visitor's laptop on the same router are covered along with the TV.

Set it up for your TV

  1. Make the router's file

Open the Router section of your account page, name the router, and download the file it makes.

  2. Give it to the router

In your router's own settings page, import the file where it adds a tunnel or a VPN profile, then turn that on.

  3. Join the TV to it

On the TV, open Settings, then Network, and pick your router's Wi-Fi, or plug in a network cable.

What you need

  • Samsung, LG and other smart TVs
  • A router with KazaVPN set up on it, and the TV joined to it by Wi-Fi or by a network cable.

Questions about KazaVPN on a smart TV

Can I install KazaVPN on a Samsung or LG TV?

Not as an app: the app stores on Samsung and LG TVs offer no VPN apps. Your router covers the TV today, and Smart DNS will be a second way on KazaVPN Premium.

My TV runs Google TV or Android TV. Is that different?

Yes. That TV can run our app itself, with its own choice of country. The Android TV page shows how to put it on.

Is Smart DNS the same as a VPN?

No. Smart DNS, coming with KazaVPN Premium, changes which country the TV's streaming apps see. It encrypts nothing, so your provider still sees what the TV connects to. The router does both.

Is the TV counted as a device on my plan?

No, only the router is. The TV and everything else behind it share the router's one place.
