What it does for your Switch
Safer hotel and café Wi-Fi
Carry a travel router with KazaVPN on it and join the Switch to that. The hotel's network cannot see which games and sites it reaches.
Nothing added to the console
The Switch simply joins a network. Every game and app on it goes through KazaVPN on the router.
Every Switch in the family
However many consoles join that router, all are covered at once, and the router takes one place on your plan.
Set it up for your Switch
Make a file for the router
On kazavpn.com, open your account, choose Router, name it after the place it lives, and keep the file it gives you.
Put it on the router
Open the router's settings in a browser, bring the file in as a new VPN connection, then start it.
Join the Switch to it
On the Switch, open System Settings, then Internet, then Internet Settings, and choose the router's network.
What you need
- Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
- A router with KazaVPN on it: the one at home, or a small travel router that imports a tunnel file.
Questions about KazaVPN on Nintendo Switch
Can I put a VPN on the Switch itself?
No. The Switch has no VPN setting and no VPN apps, so a router in front of it is the way to cover it.
Will it change my eShop region?
No. The Nintendo eShop follows the country of your Nintendo Account, not the connection, so the store stays the one you know.
Does it work on the Switch 2?
Yes. A Switch 2 joins a router the same way, from System Settings and Internet, and is covered the moment it connects.
What will Smart DNS add for the Switch?
Coming with KazaVPN Premium, it lets the Switch's video apps see another country, set from its own internet settings. It encrypts nothing; for that, the router is the way.
