What it does for your PlayStation
Every game and app covered
Online play, downloads and streaming apps on the console all go through KazaVPN, because the router carries them.
A nearby place for games
Distance adds delay. On KazaVPN Premium, give the router a location close to home for the smoothest online play.
The console stays as it is
Your PlayStation keeps its own settings and its account. All it needs is to be on the router you set up.
Set it up for your PlayStation
Name a router on your account
On your account page, open Router, call it something you will recognise and create its file. Save the file at once.
Load it into the router
Sign in to the router's settings page, import that file as a tunnel or VPN profile, and switch it on.
Test from the console
On a PS5, open Settings, Network, then Connection Status, and choose Test Internet Connection. A PS4 has the same test under Network.
What you need
- PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
- A router you can sign in to, with KazaVPN set up on it.
- The console joined to that router's Wi-Fi or plugged into it.
Questions about KazaVPN on PlayStation
Can I download a VPN app on my PS5?
No. PlayStation offers no VPN apps from any company, which is why the router does the work: the console is covered as soon as it is connected to it.
Will online games lag?
A little delay is added, since each connection passes a KazaVPN server first. On Premium, choose a location near you for games; on Free, the server is picked for you.
What will Smart DNS change on a PlayStation?
Coming with KazaVPN Premium, it lets the console's streaming apps see another country, set from its own network settings with no router involved. It does not encrypt the console's traffic.
Can I leave the PlayStation out for a while?
Not from the console, since everything on that router goes through KazaVPN. Join the console to another network, such as your provider's own Wi-Fi, when you want it outside.
